About Brookhaven News Now

I've worked for news outlets across the country, covering everything from breaking news to state legislatures and local school boards.

I moved to Brookhaven ten years ago, when I took a job as a reporter at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. I love our community, the parks, our schools and neighbors.

But something was missing.

Brookhaven is DeKalb County's second largest city. We have nearly 60,000 residents and a total annual budget of more than $100 million. And yet we didn't have a news outlet of our own — until now.

Welcome to Brookhaven News Now, a weekly community news and events newsletter for Atlanta's best ITP city.

It's produced by me, Molly Bloom. I live in the Murphey Candler Park neighborhood with my family. My children attend DeKalb County public schools.

Brookhaven News Now aims to build community among Brookhaven neighbors, businesses and families by providing reliable, useful information.
