Brookhaven PD makes arrests in connection with Murphey Candler Park street takeover
Brookhaven police arrested 13 people and cited 10 others in connection with what police call an "illegal stunt driving event" in the Murphey Candler Park neighborhood.
The street takeover event took place near Marist School, at the intersection of Ashford Dunwoody and Harts Mill roads. Police say there were two other street takeovers in Brookhaven recently, on Aug. 17 and Aug. 24.
“In Brookhaven, we’re not going to tolerate these takeover events,” Brookhaven Police Chief Brandon Gurley told Channel 2.
